You might use your own maps, mapquest, or other methods, but here are some basic directions. From San Diego, there are several routes to Borrego, but a good route in June is to go thru scenic Cuyamaca State Park, which will have some nice fields of wildflowers in the meadows between forests of black oak and pines. Another possibility goes by more services -- mostly in Ramona -- but has a few signals.

E on Interstate 8 about 30+ miles. Turn left at Hwy79 / Japatul Rd –Exit 40. After 3 miles, turn left to continue on Hwy 79, and go 20 miles until Julian, where road T-s. Turn Right. Go 18 miles to Hwy S-3. Turn Left. Go 7 miles to Borrego Springs Rd. Turn Left. Go 3½ miles to Tilting T. Turn left.	From coast, to E on I-8 to I-15. N on I-15 about 10 miles to Scripps Poway Pkwy. Turn right, go about 10 miles to the end. This is Hwy 67. Turn left. After about 10 miles, this becomes Hwy 78 in Ramona. Go another 15 miles to Santa Ysabel, turn left on Hwy 79. Go about 12 miles to S-2. Turn right. Go 5 miles to S-22. Turn left. Go 17 miles to stop sign. Turn right. Go 2 miles to circle. Turn right on Borrego Springs Road. Go 2 miles. Turn right on Tilting T.
